Lisa Furtado was born in Victoria, on beautiful Vancouver Island, Canada. Her parents immigrated to Canada in the 1960’s from Azores, Portugal. Lisa is a published author. Her book, “Her Apparitions & Other Human Longings” (based on a true story) is available on Amazon.com. She is a Hatha/Kundalini yoga instructor and Reiki Master. Lisa Furtado is the older sister of singer Nelly Furtado. Lisa has received several awards, acknowledging her debut novel and charity work, including the highly competitive & prestigious: "Tom Perry Award for Social Responsibility" presented only once per year to the most deserving candidate awarded by the University of Victoria in Canada.
